Four Months!
As of yesterday Ben is four months old! I'm officially switching to months instead of weeks now, although I don't like months as a unit of time since they are so imprecise :).
So to celebrate his four month birthday he rolled over from his back to his belly for the first time. We are a little apprehensive since this means he's one step closer to crawling. We rather like that he stays where we put him right now! It's also a bit nerve wracking that he can roll over on his face at night, so we're keeping one eye open and on the baby monitor all night. How did people survive before all this tech???
In addition to rolling over, Ben has been using both his hands in unison to grab objects for the past few weeks. He's getting better and better at sitting up - he's getting close to staying seated by himself with his hands in front of him, but can't actually get himself into the position yet. I accidentally discovered that he likes playing peekaboo when I bent over to pick something up while sitting beside him while he was in his activity saucer - he thought my sudden appearance was hilarious. He's also drooling a lot and chewing on anything he can get his hands on - he may be teething, but we're not sure. His new favorite book is "Dragons Love Tacos".
Before and after rolling over (I actually thought I was taking a video. Whoops.). He gets his arm stuck under him, so needs a little help to get fully on his belly, but he'll eventually figure it out.
Trying out his hat in preparation for the solar eclipse. He takes fashion very seriously.

I eat dis octopus?

Ben gets his toys stuck in the weirdest positions.
Solar eclipse time! Hopefully we'll be in the path of totality for the 2024 eclipse.
