October 2023!!!

October was BUSY! We started the month off with a visit from Pawpaw. While he was here we were sure to get a fishing and golfing trip in :). The kids loved playing with the nightcrawlers when we were fishing - reminds me of myself when I was a kid! They also loved riding in the golf cart with me while Craig and Pawpaw golfed. Pawpaw also helped us pick out a shade tree (a red push pistache) for the front of the house!

We flew to Boulder, CO for a wedding - some friends (Steve and Barbara Schindler with their grandson Ezra) were in the Boulder airport when we landed, so we were able to say hi before they boarded :). Around 3 hours before our flight I stepped on a scorpion in the house and had to ice my foot all morning. The very frigid air at the wedding and reception actually helped! My foot was back to normal by the next morning. After the wedding we went to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science where Ben lost one of his front teeth. We also went to Dinosaur Ridge to see dinosaur and crocodile footprints.

Grandma TT came out to watch the kids while Craig and I went to France for a week. We were sure to bake her a cake for her birthday while she was here. When we landed in France I found a pair of Nora's socks in my bag, so I made sure they came along with us when sight-seeing. I don't think the kids missed us one bit - grandma kept them quite entertained at home :).

Halloween was fun! We went trick-or-treating (mostly treating) with friends. Ben was a dinosaur and Nora was a dinosaur-rider.
